Antique, silver quadruple plate, covered butter dish, cooler/ chiller dome with glass insert by Homan circa late 1800s. The body is somewhat oval with a grapes and leaves design. Comes with the glass insert and spreader. Lovely piece of history to use or display.
Measurements: approx 5 1/2" tall with lid, 6 3/4" wide x 6" depth.

This bowl is in good antique condition especially for it's age and use. Does have some signs of age and use such as light surface scratches, some wear. The inside bottom has some scratches which looks consistent with ice being used to keep the butter chilled. The finial seems a bit tilted to the front (or back depending on how lid is on :-)), but doesn't budge so it must be purposeful. No other obvious damage I can see.
