Stunning, antique, silver plate teapots and sugar bowl. The set includes 2 teapots and a sugar bowl. One teapot was made to sit on a stand, but when I acquired it, no stand was present. All the pieces have a gorgeous, satin type finish, yet still very shiny and dimensional flower and vine finials. Beautiful and historic pieces to use or for display.
Measurements: teapot approx 8 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide to tip of spout. Second teapot measures approx 5" tall and 10 1/2" handle to spout, sugar bowl measures 4" tall x 8 1/4" handle to handle.
Makers Mark: I searched all over and the closes maker I can find for the hare and star makers marks is possibly E.G. Webster & Son.
The teapots and sugar bowl are in great condition, especially for their age. May show some signs of wear for it's age such as small surface scratches and tarnish and marks on the bottom of one teapot where burner was. The bottom, of the sugar bowl shows some base metal coming through (less obvious in person than in pictures). The inside looks great with some small spotting/ stains. No obvious damage that I can see.
