Lovely, vintage, tea set/coffee service with tilting pot and tray from Birmingham Silver Co. The set includes tray, coffee pot, teapot, tilting pot with stand and burner, sugar bowl, creamer and waste bowl. Each serving piece has scrolling leaves on the handles and feet, bulbous shaped bodies and topped with berry (or grape) finials. Just gorgeous!
Measurements: approx tray 29" handle to handle, 24" without handles x 18 3/4" wide. Coffee pot measures approx 11" tall x 11 1/2" wide handle to spout and teapot 9 1/2" tall x 10 1/2" wide.tilting pot 15" tall on the stand (10 1/2" tall not on the stand) x 9" wide handle to spout. Sugar approx 6 1/2" tall x 7" wide, creamer approx 5 1/2" tallx 6", waste bowl 4" tall x 4" diameter.
Marks: The tea set has Birmingham Silver Co marks. The tray has marks for Goldfeder Silver Co which was the company before Birmingham took over.
This set appears to be in good vintage condition. May have typical signs of use such as light surface scratches, possible tarnish/ polish residue, small bruises, tiny dings, etc. The insides look good with some light staining from the tannins in coffee and tea. The tray has a few small spots where the copper is peaking through and a few flea bites. The feet have been removed from the tray, but there are green, felt protectors on the bottom. No obvious damage. Please use pictures as part of the description.
