Gorgeous, French, late 19th century, bronze, peacock fan Louis XV style, fireplace screen. This fireplace screen is made of bronze/ brass. This isn't like the many others available from the early to mid century. Features intricate detailing of filigree cut-out on the fan insides and outside edges, urn style finial and solid latches to lock the screen shut when not in use. This screen has a gorgeous patina and some beautiful verdigris. I chose not to polish it for that reason. This would make an exquisite addition to your fireplace.
Measurements: approx 23 1/2" tall and 7" wide when closed. 34" wide when opened.
This fireplace screen is in beautiful antique condition. I didn't polish the screen because it has a gorgeous patina, which most people desire, and lovely verdigris. It wears its age beautifully. If you prefer a shinier, bronze, this can easily be polished. This is an antique item so may need some lubrication for ease of opening and closing. No obvious damage.
This listing is for the fireplace screen only. Anything else in the photographs is for props. Some prop items are available in my store. If it isn't, and you are interested in purchasing, please convo me and I'll see if I have it available to list.
