Lovely, antique, large, silver plate cup/ mug by WMF (Wurtemberg Metalware Factory) circa late 1800s early 1900s. The tall mug is sleek and has a simple design. It also has the same look and feel of hotel style/ silver soldered item. The style of lettering is the same as WMFs style dated for 1886 to 1903. In addition, the fact that it has the letter N (for Neusilber or Alpacca) is considered rare. A weighty and solid piece. Here is your chance to own a gorgeous piece of history.
Measurements: approx 4 1/4" tall x 5" from rim to handle. 3 1/2" diameter
Makers Mark: WMFN
This cup is in good antique condition. Has some common signs of antique age/use such as slight surface scratches and the usual marks/ tiny dings inherent to silver soldered items. The top of the rim seems ever so slightly out of circle, but there are no apparent dings that caused this. No obvious damage.
