Antique, silver plate, samovar/ coffee urn/ dispenser circa mid 1800s. This is a darker silver or "French Grey" color which seems to have been popular in that period. The samovar has dimensional flowers and leaves on the handles and lid and figural eagles on the legs. The body has an etched Aesthetic design. It's personalized on the front "Friendships Offering". It is still very shiny. Appears to be in complete working order. A beautiful piece for use or display.
Measurements: Samovar approx 16" Tall, 10 1/2" handle to handle and approx 6" diameter
Makers Mark: E.G. Webster & Bro New York 53
The samovar is in good antique condition for its age and use. May show some signs of wear for it's age such as small surface scratches, possible tiny dings and polish residue. The lid either has some stubborn tarnish or some light wear to the silver. The spout has some wear to the silver where some of the base metal is showing through. I think it adds to it's character. There is some wear on different parts of the body but may be stubborn tarnish. No burner is included with this samovar, but a candle can be used. The inside looks great. Overall still very shiny and beautiful.
This listing is for the samovar only.
