Antique, silver plate, extra large, serving tray by Barbour Silver Co circa 1890s. This beautiful tray is rimmed with a rope design with leaf and shell accents along the rim and handles and ball feet. The face has flowers, leaves, vines and shell etching. The finish on this tray is very unique. While it's silverplated, it has a brushed, satin-type finish. It really makes the tray stand out. Pictures can't seem to capture it so it is even lovelier in person. Antique trays in this condition and size are rare. Would be perfect to go with a tea set, as a serving tray or display. Wonderful and solid piece.
Measurements: Approx 31 1/4" long handle to handle, 25 5/8" without handles, x 17" wide.
Marks: The marks for Barbour Silver Co
The tray is in great vintage condition. May show some signs of wear like light scratches, some slight tarnish, if any, polish residue. Ever so slight bit of the copper base showing through near the handles. No obvious damage I can see.
