Gilded, framed, hand painted, oil painting of a Cattleya orchid and three hummingbirds in ornate, gilded/ gold finished frame. The oil painting is a hand painted portrait on canvas panel of three hummingbirds with a pink Cattleya orchid with a nest full of eggs against a tropical background. This painting was inspired by Martin Johnson Heade's painting Cattleya Orchid And Three Hummingbirds circa 1871. The painting is done by me and not a mass item purchased overseas. I was inspired (aka obsessed) after seeing Martin Johnson (MJ) Heade's paintings at the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, AR. The frame is has ornate detailing and is hand gilded with gold leaf. The colors in this painting are rich pinks, reds, greens, yellows, browns, oranges, grays, whites and blues. It's framed in an ornate, gold frame. The artwork is 16"x 20" and in a 21 5/8" x 25 1/4" frame. Ready for hanging. *The last picture is a group of other paintings inspired by the same artist that are also for sale.
