Rare, Gimbel's Department Store/ Gimbel Brothers, silver soldered, basket with eagle crest. Here is a lovely basket from the famous Gimbel's Department Store. The department store that was famous for its parades and the location for our favorite holiday movies, "Miracle On 34th Street" and "Elf"! This piece is oval and sits on a round base and has a swinging handle the moves freely. As you can see, there is an eagle crest on the inside. This basket was probably used in their tea room or restaurants to hold rolls or their famous Annaclairs! Perfect for use or to be shown on display. It's a beautiful and solid piece. Here's your chance to own a piece of history.
