Vintage, set of 3, silver soldered, pitcher and teapots, Marriott Marquis by Dix Jewelry of London. The Marriott Marquis is the international flagship hotels of Marriott's larger format hotels. The first one opening in New York City/ Times Square in the mid 1980s. This set contains 1 larger teapot/coffee pot, pitcher and one smaller, personal size teapot. Each piece has the Marriott Marquis design around the rim. Great set for hotel silver collectors.
Marks: DJ EPNS Marriott Marquis. DJ is the makers mark for Dix Jewelry: Ben J. Dix Of London Ltd.
Measurements: approx Coffee pot 9 1/2" tall x 10" wide handle to spout, Water pitcher 8" tall x 8" wide handle to spout, little teapot 5 2/4" tall x 7 1/2" wide.
The items are in decent, vintage condition. May have expected signs of age and use such as light surface scratches and marks that are inherent to silver soldered items. There are light bruises/ slight dents around the bottoms. The insides have some staining and wear. It looks as though the top part of the handle of the coffee pot has been repaired (see pic). Because I can't vouch for the integrity of the repair (even though it feels solid while holding), the price reflects such just in case the handle repair doesn't have longevity--please keep this in mind when purchasing. No other obvious damage that I can see.
