Antique, silver plate/ silver soldered, Meat dome/ cloche by Mappin and Webb circa 1890. This gorgeous dome was used to cover meat (turkey, roasts, etc) or other foods in hotels, restaurants or wealthy homes. This has a lovely curly-q, ergonomic type handle. This solid piece would be great for use as well as display--especially for those who collect hotel style silver.
Measurements: approx 16" long x 12 3/4" wide x 8" tall inside, 10" tall to top of handle.

The dome/cloche is in good antique condition. Shows some standard signs of age and use such as tiny dings, surface scratches. Has scratches and marks that are usual with silver soldered items as well as some larger scratches. There is some bubbles/ bumps randomly throughout. Still absolutely gorgeous and shiny. No obvious damage
