Ornate gold framed, hand painted, oil painting of race horses and jockeys in gilded/ gold leafed frame. The painting is done by me and not a mass item purchased overseas. The painting is inspired by the painting The Eclipse Stakes, Sandown 1892 by Alfred Wheeler. It depicts The Duke of Westminster's Orme battling J.W. Houldsworth's Orvieto. Orme, ridden by jockey George Barrett and trained by John Porter. The colors in this painting are browns, greens, blues, yellows and whites. It's framed in an ornate, gilded/ gold leafed frame. The artwork is 11"x 14" and in a 19 1/2" x 16 1/4" frame. Ready for hanging. The last painting is sold separately, but would make a beautiful companion piece to this painting.
Measurements: 19 1/2" x: 16 1/4"
This painting and frame are in good condition. No obvious damage.
