Vintage, pair, USN, silver soldered, US Navy, WWII, pitchers for Wardroom Officer's Mess circa 1943. Each pitcher is 16 ounces. Both have the date mark for 1943, World War 2 era. Great for collectors of militaria, navy, war or silver soldered items.
Marks: The bottom of the piece date mark for 1943 Reed & Barton Silver Soldered 3600 16 oz USN
Measurements: approx 6" tall x 5 1/2" wide handle to spout.
The pitchers are in fair, vintage condition for age and use. Show some signs of age such as light surface scratches and the usual marks/ tiny dings inherent to silver soldered items. The outsides are beautiful and shiny. The insides show some pooling or bubbling of silver, but solid (perhaps made in manufacturing), but one pitcher has a gouge in the bottom (see pic). Till very beautiful.
