Vintage, silver plate, covered, 4.0 quart, serving dish/ buffet stand with glass insert. The set is fully intact. Features very ornate legs, pierced openwork frame and lovely, pinecone style finial. Beautiful item to serve food on your buffet for dinner parties, showers, weddings or holidays.
Measurements: Silverplate frame approx 19" long handle to handle, 15 3/4" long without handles. 10" wide x 3 1/2 tall to top of rim. Inside Glass dish measures approx 13 1/2" long x 8 1/2" wide x 2" deep.
Marks: A symbol and silverplate on the legs, but not sure what the symbol is. Looks identical to Reed and Barton's covered casserole dish so I'm assuming that is the maker. The glass has Marinex on it.
This serving set is in good vintage condition. Has some signs of age and use such as light marks and light surface scratches, light smudging on the lid, possible polish residue. Glass has no chips or cracks No obvious damage.
