Rare, silver soldered, teapot from Nassau Hospital (Now named NYU Winthrop) circa 1937. Located in Mineola, New York. The hospital originally opened in 1897. It was renamed NYU Winthrop in the 1980's. This little gem may not be in the greatest of condition, but it's a great piece of history.

Marks:The bottom reads Nassau Hospital IS International Silver Co Silver Soldered 0505050 10 Oz and the number 37 in a square (IS date mark) Patent 1637853 Patent 83580 and the number 9

Measurements: approx 5 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide handle to spout

This teapot is in fair condition.. Shows wear to the silver and handle. Inside has scratches and the lid doesn't close fully without pushing it in. Still very shiny though.
