Towle Beehive Honeycomb Tea Set With Tray 9 Piece Set

Rare find, Towle Beehive, tea service. The set includes teapot with tea strainer, sugar bowl with lid and spoon, creamer, honey pot with glass insert and honey dripper and tray. Each serving item is shaped like a beehive with a honey bee finial. This is a rare and discontinued set. Great conversation piece or for the collector of honey bee items.

Measurements: approx Teapot with strainer, 9. 1/4" handle to spout, 5" diameter x 5 3/4" Tall. Creamer, 6 1/2" handle to spout x x 3 3/4"Tall. Sugar bowl 3" diameter x 3 1/2" tall. Honey pot 3" diameter x 3 1/2" tall. Honey dripper and sugar spoon each approx 5" long. Oval tray, 16" x 11" .

Marks: Towle Silversmiths

This set is in good vintage condition. Has typical signs of use such as light surface scratches. There are what look to be water spots in areas, but this set appears to be lacquered (to ward off tarnish) and the lacquer is wearing off (easily removed with acetone). The insides have a bit of staining. No obvious damage.
