Vintage, Art Deco, brass and black trophy circa 1943. On the trophy is engraved "The Par-T-Pak Trophy Awarded Peggy Jean Beck Winner Sing With Your Favorite Band June 27, 1943". Par-T-Pak is a soda brand introduced around 1933 by Nehi-Royal Crown company. "Sing With Your Favorite Band" was started by Mort Werner as a talent show that was broadcast on radio every Tuesday night at 8:30pm at KHJ radio station in Los Angeles and sponsored by an advertiser. In this case, it was Par-T-Pak Soda. The winner of that show would then have arrangements made for them to sing with their favorite band! (see page page 12 https://worldradiohistory.com/Archive-Radio-Life/40s/40/Radio-Life-1940-11-03.pdf). Peggy Jean Beck happened to be the winner that week!

This is a one of a kind piece of history. A wonderful trophy for collectors of trophies, radio or historical memorabilia.

Measurements: approx 8 1/2" Tall, 3" wide diameter at it's largest

The trophy is in good, vintage condition. The brass part of the trophy has tarnish and patina. I chose not to polish it in case the new owner prefers it this way. It can polish up easily if the new owner so chooses. There's a scratch on the black portion (see pics) No obvious damage.

Please Note: This listing is for the trophy only. Anything else in the photographs is for props. Some prop items are available in my store. If it isn't, and you are interested in purchasing, please convo me and I'll see if I have it available to list.
