My silver dome is here I'm great shape. It is beautiful.

XL, Antique, silver plate, hand chased, Meat dome/ cloche by Alex Clark Manufacturing, London, circa 1898-1912. This gorgeous dome was used to cover meat (turkey, roasts, etc) or other foods in hotels, restaurants or wealthy homes. This particular dome is large enough to cover an uncarved turkey! This has a lovely, hand chased, floral design with fluting and a beaded style handle. This solid piece would be great for use as well as display--especially for those who collect hotel style silver.

Measurements: approx 20" long x 15 3/4" wide x approx 10" tall inside, 13" tall to top of handle.

Makers Mark: The Alex Clark Manufacturing, London Welbeck Plate A1

The dome/cloche is in good antique condition. Shows some standard signs of age and use such as tiny dings, surface scratches. Has tiny pit marks on the base of the handle that looks like it was made during manufacturing (similar to silver soldered items) so I don't consider it a flaw. Still absolutely gorgeous and shiny. No obvious damage

Please Note: This listing is for the dome/ cloche only. Anything else in the photographs is for props. Some prop items are available in my store. If it isn't, and you are interested in purchasing, please convo me and I'll see if I have it available to list. The tray the dome is sitting on in one of the pictures is a Gorham Rosewood tray that I have available for purchase in my shop.

Most of my items are vintage which are used or aged so my items are sold "as is". Refunds or exchanges are not accepted unless I erroneously forgot to mention a major flaw. My pictures aren't doctored to hide flaws so please use photos as part of the description. My items are antique and vintage. They have been loved through the years and most likely will show such. I buy items that I personally love from estate sales, auctions, flea markets, thrift stores, etc. I do my very best to list the condition of my items as well as show pictures. Please ask questions before purchasing. I hope you'll love your purchase as much as I did when I found it.
