It is beautiful, I just love it! Thank you so much.
Vintage, extra large, brass, fireplace screen, fan that folds out like a peacock tail. This is a larger than average fireplace fan (see pic where this one is behind an average sized fireplace screen). The main body has an Art Deco style with a woman holding a globe. The bottom base has a Foo dog style face and the handle looks like koi fish. There is a latch on each side to keep the fan closed when not in use . The ornate finial also serves as a handle to make moving easier. Beautiful decor for your hearth.
Measurements: approx 34" in height including the handle, 10 3/4" in width at the bottom, 5 1/2" in depth, when open 48" *May be slightly disassembled for ease of shipping.
This fireplace screen is in good vintage condition. May have standard signs of use such as light surface scratches, possible tiny dings, dust and tarnish. May need some lubrication to open and close the fan easier. No obvious damage. Sometimes a fan blade becomes disengaged, but can easily be put back on track by gently bending the fan blade to allow the tab back into the track of the blade in front of it.
